His Story begins in rural southern America amidst the last of the moonshiners and stories of the Civil War. His mother, brother, sisters, and him once saw a fully visible Confederate soldier dashing across the road in a storm. That type of thing was not uncommon. His childhood companions were my brother and sisters and a plethora of ancient aunts and uncles and already grown cousins. There were always stories of people long dead and much loved, told so well they seemed to be still among the living. Many of the women in his family had the gift of spiritual sight and had premonitions and visions. They also received information from the spirit world. Sometimes they used cards and called themselves telling fortunes. Although they were sought out for information and advice, they viewed their gifts primarily as a pastime.
